Group Research Program

Co-author real architecture research with a student team.

Small teams of 4–6 students, each led by a Group Research Project Manager, investigate a topic in architecture and urbanism — adaptive reuse, green housing, transit design — and produce a publishable paper or article reviewed by our Research Editor.

Architectural Journalism

Create articles that relates to the field of architecture.

Volunteers craft their own short-form or full-length article that relates to the field of architecture. These articles strengthen our initiative of providing students opportunities in architecture. Volunteers will receive certificates after their article is reviewed and submitted. Volunteers do receive certificates after submitting articles. However the articles must be reviewed by staff before publishing to examine for AI-generated text. Volunteers are welcomed to submit more articles after their first submission. Please be aware only one article can be submitted at a time. Below details how many volunteer hours you will receive on your certificate depending one what type of article you submit.     Symposium

    The Youth Architecture Symposium 2026 provides students with an opportunity to explore the evolution and impact of architecture. Participants will engage with ideas spanning historical, cultural, and contemporary practices, while considering the ways architecture can adapt and innovate in response to societal and technological changes. This symposium encourages critical thinking, creativity, and informed discussion, offering students a platform to broaden their understanding of architecture and its role in shaping communities and the built environment.

      The Pen Pal Program connects teens from different countries and states who share an interest in architecture through mail or email. Participants exchange ideas, discuss design concepts, and share creative work through written correspondence, fostering collaboration, cultural exchange, and engagement with the built environment.

        The Youth Speech & Debate Program is designed to help young voices develop confidence, critical thinking, and persuasive skills.           One application covers everything. Tell us which programs interest you; the Admissions & Registration council reviews on a rolling basis and most decisions arrive within two weeks. Approved members get a portal account and are assigned to their program space with a Google Classroom code, meeting links, and a team.
